Join us at the hands-on workshop "Parallel Computing with MATLAB," co-hosted by the Scientific Computing Center (SCC) of KIT and MathWorks Academia Team. Learn the essentials of leveraging parallel CPU and GPU hardware with MATLAB and discover how to use MATLAB interactively with Jupyter on the bwHPC network's HPC systems.
This workshop is designed to introduce MATLAB's parallel computing language constructs, enabling you to tackle compute- and data-intensive challenges effectively with MATLAB. Engage in practical scenarios to parallelize algorithms and learn best practices in parallel computing with MATLAB.

The first day of the course aims at gaining basic skills for the work with OpenFOAM on the supercomputers in Baden-Württemberg. The differences between the work on a serial and on a massive parallel computer with distributed memory are emphasized. The participants will receive written tutorials which allow learning how  to perform parallel computations step by step. In the second day a complex conjugated fluid-flow and heat transfer example will be worked out. More advanced topics like unsteady boundary conditions for turbulent flows as well as visualization of the obtained results with Paraview will be considered.

Vom 24. bis zum 26. April 2024 veranstalten die Gauß-Allianz und das Zentrum für Informationsdienste und Hochleistungsrechnen (ZIH) der TU Dresden in Kooperation mit dem BMBF die 13. HPC-Statuskonferenz auf dem Campus der TU Dresden.

Als Plattform für den interdisziplinären Austausch und zur Netzwerkbildung thematisiert die dreitägige Veranstaltung aktuelle Entwicklungen, Projekte und Fragestellungen im Hoch- und Höchstleistungsrechnen. Neben den Zielen und ersten Ergebnissen der nationalen Vorhaben der aktuellen SCALEXA- sowie GreenHPC-Förderung des BMBF in den Bereichen Infrastrukuren, Methoden und Anwendungen werden auch die EuroHPC-Projekte mit nationaler Beteiligung auf der Statuskonferenz vertreten sein. Die zahlreichen intensiven Bezüge der HPC-Community und der KI-Forschung in Deutschland werden auf der Konferenz ebenfalls thematische Akzente setzen.

The annual NHR-Conference is aiming at promoting scientific exchange among the HPC-user community. Each year the focus will be on different scientific topics.
The NHR Conference ’24 will take place in Darmstadt.
