Simulation and Data Life Cycle Laboratories are innovative tools that provide science- and technology-based support to HPC infrastructure users.
The main goal is to create value for science, technology, and society from large and heterogeneous scientific data, via data-driven modeling, complex theories, and using state-of-the-art data analysis, simulation, and computational technologies - such as accelerators, quantum, and neuromorphic computing.
Currently, there are four SDLs whose focus aligns with NHR@KIT's main application areas:
- SDL Particle and Astroparticle Physics.
- SDL Earth System Science
- SDL Engineering for Energy and Mobility
- SDL Materials Science
